I'ma get your heart racing...

WARNING: excuse the horrendous photo quality (heh..heh...)

This is the outfit I wore when I went out with some friends this weekend! It was extremely comfortable and I got so many compliments on it that I want to wear it everyday. I looove this dress. And at $15 it is one of the most expensive things in my closet/wardrobe. It was on sale at H & M and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it.

However I was also told that it looked like I was "trying to be Katy Perry." But I'm going to take that as a compliment cause I like Katy Perry :) Hence the title of this post...

Dress: H&M
Tights: gosh, I've had these forever...I think Wal*Mart though
Shoes (Which you can't see but they're adorable) are from Kohl's. I post a picture of them below! edit: a picture does not exist online apparently..heh..heh...sorry!
Little shrug/jacket: Thrifted

Hope you lovelies are all having a fantastic day!

If I Had a Million Dollars....

Soooo now that fall is coming upon us (huzzah!!) it's time to break out the boots/booties! lol and now that I have an apartment I can't afford to spend my money on nonessentials (though i did buy some wedges online the other day for 10.60 w/ tax and shipping...I couldn't pass that up!)ahem...anyway...

Boots. Oh how I long for thee...And these beauties have been catching my eye as of late!

WARNING: Some of these shoes are ridiculously expensive and outragously priced. This is why they are called eye candy. :)

This here boot is all kinds of right. I love buckles on shoes. l-o-v-e. I also love the fact that they are leather and sturdy. While I wouldn't be opposed to a boot with a heel, I always find myself attracted to nice flat riding boot looking things {shocking-I know given my obsession for flats ;)} The only problem with boots are my calves are too fat lol and they never fit properly. ah, what a great confidence boost lol. The best thing about these boots? They are only $31.90 from gojane.com. While that is quite a chunk of change, for boots they are some of the better pries I've seen.

These little fella are a pretty stark contrast to the ones above, but I am just as smitten with them. My sister bought me a pair of boots like this one year for christmas but I returned them hoping to get some closer to my size but alas....they never came :( Whyyyy!! Oh well, we learn from our mistakes... Back on subject! These are by far the cutest variation on Uggs (ugly ass boots i.m.o.) that I have seen, and really? put a bow on hyena and I would take it home with me. They are also from gojane (quite possibly my favorite online store) and appropriately priced at 22.99!

A cute combination of the previous two boots! These would also be acceptable on hot summer days without having to quietly suffer on the inside for fashion with some of the above boots ;) Available from {drumroll please} gojane! for 26.70 (kind of a stretch).

I have a friend who owns a pair of boots very similar to these and I love them. I feel like they look a lot cuter in person than in this picture, but the little button/clip/whatever you want to call them detail at the top is pretty cute. I also like the height on these 'cause I want knee high boots without it looking trashy lol. P.s. they only 29.80 from gojane!

I basically love these for all the same reasons as the first but the color is what really caught my attention! Love! 36.70 from gojane! (sensing a trend?)

The color! The buckles! The height! Everythis is perfection! These would be fantastic for fall! Unfortunately they will set you back $36, but there are much worse prices out there...also from gojane! (seriously <3 that store)

Now these are admittedly a little "funky town" as my dad would put it...yet I am drawn towards them. I love the contrast between the suede and leather detailing, and, as should be obvious by now, buckles!!!! 39.40 for these beauts.

I think that wraps up the gojane.com version of the fall boots/booties search! Trust me...much much more to come!

A Lesson Learned...

to all of you who thought I would be good at keeping up with the ;). That being said...I really am going to try to keep up with this again. I tend to do a lot better during the school year when I am looking for a good distraction from all the surmounting (sp?) schoolwork piling up.

Anyway I have aloooooooooooooooot in store for upcoming posts. Like...a lot. It's pretty ridiculous. And uneccessary. But fun to look at none the less!

peace, love, and fat ducks!

If I had a million dollars...

More shoe hotness

These are really just because I really, really, really, really want a pair of red flats. Also grey ones. I'm hoping to gradually collect every color because 99.9% of the time I am in ballet flats. My oldest, trustiest part...just bit the dust :( I will probably make a post on my other blog about it, as I do when objects have met their time...this on top of losing my favorite pair of black and white ones, and my black flip flops breaking means I am in some dire need of footwear ;) (I could probs survive several years on the shoes I have left-hee hee!) I get my money's worth though! I wear those things to the bone!

This one is similar to the other pair in the previous post I just love the look of white and black shoes. They look so cute and classy and combine my love for the color combo with my desire to own a pair of booties. I'm also looking for a pair of oxfords. I'm basically looking for a lot of things right now ;) I acquire things slowly due to my budget I alot for such things.

All I have to say is I've been obsessed with the military/marching band motif lately and these fell victim to that obsession. It's kind of interesting because I find myself drawn to really soft, feminine things, and really edgy things too. I really like the way outfits looks when you combine the two together, like a cute floral skirt or dress with a leather jacket with lots of zippers or a cropped military style jacket.

these. are. beautiful. i. will. own. can't. stop. looking. at.

I can't waittt to go shopping! It's been soo long! These really aren't ridiculously priced, I think they are all between 20-40 dollars, however I like when they're closer to 5-10...:)

All of these are from two sites:

shopplasticland.com

missselfridge.com

enjoy :)

If I had a million dollars...

I've been on a shoe kick lately, and I have to say...these beauts would look good on these feet. Unfortunately I don't think the local thrift stores carry them. To dream is fun though, no? ;)

Octopus's Garden

We would be warm below the storm
In our little hideaway beneath the waves
Resting our head on the sea bed
In an octopus' garden near a cave

We would sing and dance around
because we know we can't be found
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade

We would shout and swim about
The coral that lies beneath the waves
(Lies beneath the ocean waves)
Oh what joy for every girl and boy
Knowing they're happy and they're safe
(Happy and they're safe)

We would be so happy you and me
No one there to tell us what to do
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden with you.

I feel like this song is written off as goofy or not a worthy addition to the Beatle's catalog, when it's actually one of my favorites. I like ringo. And believe it or not John or Paul AREN'T my favorite Beatle's. I've always been a George fan.

It deserves a listen and the lyrics seem so innocent and sincere and summer appropriate :)

So to give Ringo a little attention:

We would be warm, below the storm...

...in our little hideaway beneath the waves :)

Here's to starting up a blog that's less rambling about my life and more so showing things I find interesting/inspiring whether it be fashion, photos or songs I want to share with you all :)

WARNING: I use smiley faces wayyyy too much. Thought y'all ought to know now :P. I seriously can't stop.
